Garden Tower 2 Improvements to the Garden Tower 1.1:

1) Enhanced nutrient distribution: The vermicomposting tube at the core of every Garden Tower features 265% more perforations for greater access by plant roots and enhanced aeration.

2) Stacking & nesting planting rings: Customizable tower height and less soil compaction.

3) It rotates! 360 degree rotation made possible by a robust integrated bearing track = optimized sun exposure and better plant access in tight spaces.

4) Removable compost tea drawer and compost screen: better access, controlled compost release and less bending over.

5) Wide, heavy, reinforced, anchor able feet attach the tower securely to a rooftop, etc. The available Premium Caster Kit allows the Garden Tower to be frequently moved.

6) Even heavier built and more UV resistant: The Garden Tower 2 is a full eight pounds heavier than the robust Garden Tower 1.1 and features the maximum amount of food-grade UV protection available in the industry for an expected 7-12 year lifespan even in harsh climates. I was just putting my Garden Tower together. It was very easy. All the parts were there. I’m glad there were two of us, but you could do it with one person. Can’t wait until Christmas! It’s in hiding right now.

I wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying my Garden Tower! I am not an avid gardener. I have planted flowers and perennials but all I have ever done for vegetables were put a few tomatoes and herbs in pots on my patio.

I was amazed. We run an organic permaculture garden, so we expect things to grow fast and well. Garden Tower user: Ann KreilKampBut this Garden Tower was like a beacon of light… totally astonishing. I estimate growth in the Tower at least 30% faster, maybe more. All the plants were, and remained healthy. No weeds. No bugs. What’s not to love?

This garden tower is fantastic. I’m a certified permaculturist and my wife and I purchased one of these last summer as I have a bad back. It worked great. The design is excellent; it’s sturdy, and well-crafted. All you need to do is buy a cup of worms at the start of the year to begin moving nutrients and have a decent container underneath to recycle those many nutrients. We’re looking at getting a 2nd one so that we can grow more veggies this summer!! Thank you Garden Tower folks!!

Have had mine now for about 3 weeks and I simply love it. Will update in a few months after some great harvests.

Here near the North Rim of Grand Canyon, (a high altitude desert) we live in an off grid home where collected rainwater is all we use for our home and garden. In the past, we have attempted to grow vegetables the traditional way. We tried permaculture; mulching them, raised beds, etc. We would give every plant a gallon a day, and they still did not thrive through our challenging winds, dryness and altitude. Then in mid summer, there was always a danger of running out of water before the monsoons rains come.

I planted a fall garden in 2011 in two prototypes of the Garden Tower. Crops included kale, collards, cabbage, broccoli, spinach, arugula, leaf lettuces, chives, garlic chives, sage, marjoram, and parsley. The results were astounding. In March, I still have kale, collards, and herbs that overwintered in the units and continue to flourish. The Garden Tower interested me in particular because I have back problems that limit my ability to bend in the garden. Garden tower owner: Michael SimmonsThe Garden Tower’s elevated growing spaces made it easy for me to care for my plants without stressing my back. After misting the growing ports until seed germination, I was able to water exclusively from the top. The water trickled down to wet all growing zones, and the excess drained through the bottom drainage holes. The units were easy to cover with floating row covers and tarps during excessively cold weather, so I was able to harvest lettuce and arugula in January. I have been very pleased with the results of my fall garden experiment and look forward to planting this spring.

Our students love our 2 garden towers (1.1) and we can’t wait to plant our new garden tower version 2! We are growing strawberries in our 2nd tower using cinder instead of soil. Within 2 weeks of planting strawberry roots, we are already seeing flowers. We are located on the north shore of Oahu, Hawaii.

I ordered my Garden Tower and when it arrived it was exactly as they stated. It was packaged very neatly and was not difficult to assemble. I really love my garden tower and have filled it with Organic soil and lots of Rock dust and natural additives so I can grow yummy veges. So far I have 2 family members who are wanting to purchase Garden Towers. Will update later in the year.

It looks fantastic. I would love to have one. But unluckly I am in Australia. By the way, is it possible that the products would be delivered to Australia?

I’ve been growing broccoli, greens, tomatoes, strawberries, and several kinds of herbs with original garden tower since 2011. Though we have a pretty large vegetable garden already, it’s been a very nice addition. I just received the new Garden Tower 2 and there’s a lot more to like about it 1) it’s easier to get plant in because the pockets are much larger, 2) it rotates pretty easily even with a couple hundred pounds of wet soil in it so you can select what gets full sun, 3) you don’t need to put a tray or bucket under it because they built that in, 4) the cap no longer gets stuck on the composting core. The original tower was a tank and the new one is definitely not cheapened like most every plastic garden container. We have a large traditional composter at the back of our veggie garden but the tower digests kitchen scraps into soil much faster. If we ever move to a smaller place with less yard I will probably get a couple more of the new model.

To Christian Wilson – I was looking cinder as a growing medium for veggies and fruits. What I found was cinder blocks. Is cinder ground up cinder blocks? If so – I did a google search about it – I found this information posted by Container Gardening Alliance – There is a serious warning posted on Facebook about the use of cinder blocks for growing food. Take a moment to read that post. https://www.facebook.com/willemvancotthem/posts/628537980511919

I haven’t purchased the garden tower yet… I received an email advertisement in my inbox and have been searching for a solution that would allow me to not be on my knees and also use less water. I live in California and want to locate a affordable, and user friendly, water conservative way to grown my own organic produce.

Got 2 of the garden towers when they did kickstarter and truthfully wish I got more. They out perform my garden easily and the constant reuse of water with very little waste is awesome out here in california. Just waiting for some extra rows to add on top of the tower and perhaps a discount for all those that ordered early so we can get more of them. This is the future of gardening, simple and easy with no micromanaging like with other systems. Great job to those involved in bringing this to market cause there isn’t any other all inclusive system that works this well that I have found and used.
